When I lived in Korea, Dok Island was a big deal. Those were the days when the dispute over ownership with Japan was in full swing. It's hard to image that people can actually go there no and it's set to be a full on Korean tourist trap. I know it's silly and sort of a scam, but even I'd like to go there some day if only see this worthless piece of rock that has been such a huge bone of contention.
I picked up this Che Fu CD in New Zealand on a whim, and at first wasn't all that impressed. But this track got me and now I'm into it. Any track that makes references to Cybertron and Starscream gotta be cool. I like the site too http://www.che-fu.com
I'd still really like to live at the South Pole at some point in my life. It looks utterly amazing and I think I could get into the lifestyle.
I saw this on Boing Boing and was quite impressed. This sort of layered computer maps have been a dream of mine for a long time. I wish they mapped out additional demographic census data as well though.

I really don't understand why this isn't a bigger deal and more people aren't upset as it becomes clearer and clearer the justifications for war were totally bogus. Shouldn't Americans be be angery that they were lied to?

When I lived in Korea, it was really on the cusp of all this technological change. It's almost like I was there in some pre-historic time, "The Age of the B.B.". Now so much has changed with the Internet and cell phones.
